1. CITY OF OTTAWA EVENT FUNDING FOR FAMILIES AND SENIORS
Ottawa, June 07, 2023—The Family Support and Care Services Centre has received funding from the City of Ottawa to organize a social and recreational event for the families and seniors in the neighborhood in one of the City’s parks. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for the neighborhood to gather, to increase of the sense of belonging, and to increase of the awareness of Canada’s diverse cultures. The event will include fun activities for children, performances, and information tables from service providers.

2. CRIME PREVENTION OTTAWA FUNDING
Ottawa, May 10, 2023—The Family Support and Care Services Centre has received funding from the Crime Prevention Ottawa to provide workshops for the Chinese older adults and seniors in Ottawa on how to live safely by providing workshops on how to make elder adults and seniors feel safe mentally, physically, emotionally and financially; how to deal with scam and fraud; and how to prevent and deal with their homes being taken over, or broken in. The workshop will start in September 2023 and end in April 2024.

MARCH 23/2023. FSCSC has received funding from the Canadian Race Relations Foundation to provide visual Anti-Racism workshops, discussions, and one in person event for the Chinese Community in Ottawa.
